JoAnn Hoffman, nee Conway, age 91, of Pacific, Missouri, passed away on June 13, 2024 in the comfort of her home. JoAnn, daughter of the late Everett Clark and Josephine (nee Helm) Conway, was born July 29, 1932 in Walker, Missouri. She graduated from Pacific High School in 1950. On May 11, 1951, she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Eugene Hoffman, and they shared 63 wonderful years together.
Alongside Eugene, JoAnn owned and operated Hoffman's Drive-In and Hoffman's Florist & Landscaping in Pacific for many years.
JoAnn was a woman of hard work, perseverance, and love. She raised five children, building a strong family legacy. She was a strong, independent, graceful, and kind woman who valued family above all else. She found joy in her garden and her love of cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, and always stopping to admire the flowers.
She is survived by her 5 children: Irvin Clark (Clay) Hoffman of Robertsville; Josephine (Phina) Oberfeld of Pacific; Steven (Steve) Hoffman and his wife Bonnie of Pacific; Anthony (Tony) Hoffman and his wife Anita of Draper, Utah; and Amelia Timms and her husband Rick of Pacific; 12 grandchildren: Heather Finci, Holly Tinker, Jason Hoffman, Christina Grimm, Noah Giles, Alex Giles, Caleb Hoffman, Alli Hoffman, Eli Hoffman, Carter Hoffman, Emma Nichols, and Ethan Timms; and 15 great-grandchildren: Kaan, Defne, Ela, Corynn, Lyla, Tristan, Kiera, Jaxon, Delilah, Xander, Wyatt, Ava, Lawrence, Sarah JoAnn, and Augustus. JoAnn is also survived by 4 siblings: John, Dick, Bob, and Mike; and numerous other beloved family members.
JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents Everett and Josephine Helm Conway; her husband Eugene; Clay’s wife Susie Prichett Hoffman; Phina’s husband Don Oberfeld; her siblings Gene, Linda, Vanessa, Ed, Butch, Mary Blanch, and Jack; and her grandchild Sean.
Visitation for Mrs. Hoffman will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Bell Funeral Home, Pacific, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 at the funeral home. Interment is in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
